It would be unusual for you to develop hand-arm vibration syndrome unless you had. It is caused by working with vibrating tools. We disclaim all responsibility for the professional qualifications and licensing of, and services provided by, any physician or other health providers posting on or otherwise referred to on this Site and/or any Third Party Site. The hand-arm vibration syndrome (sometimes abbreviated to HAVS) causes changes in the sensation of the fingers which can lead to permanent numbness of fingers, muscle weakness and, in some cases, bouts of white finger. PLEASE get it checked out & post what the xrays show or what the dr's say & then perhaps we can be of more help. It may look a lot worse then it actually is right now due to swelling which is your bodys way to protect itself. I HIGHLY suggest you get an xray done to determine how bad the damage actually is. I have permanent damage in both hands, more my right then left as I'm right handed, & have been told by doctors & surgeons that the only way to really fix any of it would have been surgery RIGHT AFTER it occured. well the wall ALWAYS wins & gets the last laugh. When I was a few years younger I had been told that when the anger gets to be too much instead of taking it out on a person EVEN if they deserve it, hit a wall. He still has limited movement & can't make a fist. My husband hand a similar injury years ago & it's NEVER returned to normal. Most users who post responses try to do some research 1st if they haven't had something similar so that they aren't blindly giving advice that may cause more damage. Sorry that you didn't get responses quickly.
